Electric Chain Hoists
Ref. 13.1
An electric chain hoist is a lifting device designed to lift and lower loads using a chain driven by an electric motor. It is commonly used in industrial environments for material handling, either in a fixed position or integrated into systems such as overhead cranes, gantries or monorails.
The ATHLO and CHAINster models from SWF allow the hoist to be adapted to different requirements through multiple configurations of load capacity, lifting height, speed and installation type, making integration easier in both production processes and maintenance operations.
Electric chain hoist models
- ATHLO model: load capacities of up to 2,500 kg and 30 m of chain, designed for industrial applications with higher demands and intensive use
- CHAINster model: load capacities of up to 10,000 kg and 15 m of chain, covering everything from general applications to higher-capacity lifting operations
Types of mounting for electric chain hoists
| Mounting type | Description | Mobility | Recommended application |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fixed suspension with lug | Installation at a fixed point for defined workstations without horizontal movement. | Fixed | Static workstations and repetitive operations |
| Manual push trolley | Allows the hoist to travel along a beam by manual pushing. | Manual | Occasional use and simple movements |
| Motorized trolley | Electric travel along the beam for greater comfort and precision in load positioning. | Motorized | Production processes and intensive use |
Complete your hoist system
The hoist can be complemented with different accessories and systems to fully adapt it to the application:
- Radio remote control: allows remote operation of the equipment, improving operator safety and ergonomics
- Beam stops: limit trolley travel along the beam, increasing installation safety
- Wall-mounted jib crane or pillar-mounted jib crane: independent solution for specific workstations without the need for a complex structure
- Lightweight aluminium or steel gantry crane: allows the creation of a mobile or independent lifting system
- Single girder or double girder overhead crane: integration of the hoist into lifting systems to cover large working areas
