TMB: Light Bridge Crane
Overhead crane for the maintenance of the Metropolitan Transport of Barcelona
From VINCA we have carried out a project together with TMB (Metropolitan Transport of Barcelona) for the maintenance of the Barcelona subways.
TMB is the main public transport operator in Catalonia and a true benchmark for citizen transport and mobility companies in Europe and throughout the world.
With this project we aimed to facilitate the daily maneuvers that are carried out for the maintenance of the fleet. To do this, we installed a light bridge crane on the roof that was positioned on the tracks. Once the subway is below, the bridge crane hoist is used along with other accessories to change, repair and install the catenaries as well as the windows or the air conditioning equipment.
These maneuvers are carried out daily in the Barcelona metropolitan fleet and this one in particular at the Triángulo station. The installed equipment has been designed to carry out the tasks on a daily basis, in addition to having other products such as safety barriers that guarantee the maximum safety of the operators.
