ROS ROCA new facility in Tàrrega: Installation of 14 overhead cranes of 6.3 tons.
Ros Roca SA, part of the Terberg Group, is one of the world’s leading companies in waste collection systems.
For its new 10,000 m² factory in Tàrrega (Lleida), where waste collection vehicles are manufactured, VINCA Equipos Industriales, S.A., adapting to the customer’s needs, has designed and manufactured 14 single-girder overhead cranes with a 6,300 kg load capacity, equipped with Nova wire rope hoists from SWF, to meet the high demands for load handling, safety and precision required in bodywork manufacturing.
Large-scale industrial structure designed by VINCA’s engineering team
The buildings have a considerable width, covered with crane spans of 17 and 21 meters.
In addition, the manufacturing layout required wide pillar spans of up to 20 meters, which in this case were achieved with special runways built using box girders.
A total of 3 cranes were installed per runway, with nearly one kilometre of crane rails and half a kilometre of enclosed conductor system.
Control, optimization and safety through mobile hoist monitoring
Due to the high precision required by the client, the overhead cranes are equipped with intelligent inverters and the OMNICONTROL system with X-link, which optimizes speed and energy consumption through real-time load monitoring, ensuring maximum precision and operator safety.

- Radio remote control
- Acoustic and visual signals
- Cranes equipped with cable carrier chains that reduce headroom and prevent potential snags with existing structures
- Anti-collision systems between cranes
