Stadler designs and manufactures railway vehicles and has been providing its services worldwide for almost a decade. Today, its Valencia facility includes a large 200,000 m² site and around 900 employees.

For several years, we have been working together to improve and solve different challenges faced by operators when handling various types of loads.

Design and manufacturing of a custom transfer cart

This transfer cart project was developed with the aim of facilitating the assembly of fuel tanks on locomotives. The solution was achieved through a steerable transfer cart equipped with a lifting table and bi-directional movement.

How does this transfer cart and lifting table combination work?

Operators guide the transfer cart using a radio remote control until it is positioned underneath the locomotive. Once in place, the table lifts the tank and, thanks to the two-axis movement, it is perfectly positioned for mounting on the lower part of the locomotive.
