Extension of the speed range

Functionality:

• Allows faster speeds at low load and slower speeds at high load.
• With loads less than 20% of the hoist’s maximum capacity, the hoist can double the working speed.
• Stepless ESR mode – Maximum speed is automatically adjusted based on load.

Benefits:

• The crane’s power is fully utilized at all times.
  • Maximum loads – rated speeds
  • Reduced loads – more speed (up to 200% of rated speed)
• Maximum productivity: It is not necessary to oversize the mechanical and electrical elements of the crane.
• Time savings: If the majority of loads do not exceed 50% of the maximum load, maneuvering time is drastically reduced. Particularly interesting with high heights.

Micro speed

Functionality:

• Allows much more precise load control.
• Available for lifting and translations.
• When activating the function with the selector, the control knob reduces the minimum and maximum speeds.
• The speed in ‘MICRO SPEED’ mode can be preset between 1% and 99% of the equipment’s maximum speeds.
• Each movement can have different preset speeds.
• Activation from the On/Off selector on the keypad or radio remote control.

Benefits

Micro speed in small spaces increases safety and reduces maneuvering time:

• Helps the operator to control the load well in risky operations
• Very useful for positioning very large loads where the operator needs great precision: e.g. Assembly of large geared motors and alternators.

Loose cable control

Functionality:

This function is very helpful with hook-mounted implements: it provides safe maneuvering, increases productivity and prevents damage to the equipment.

• When we lower the load the equipment detects that the load is not suspended and stops.
• Detection is performed when the load is less than 10% of the rated load.
• The cable does not loosen excessively: maneuvering time is reduced and damage to the cable is prevented.
• In case of an accessory under the hook, we ensure that the implement is well supported.

Benefits

Higher productivity:

• Optimizes charging cycles by stopping when necessary automatically.

Greater security:

• Reduces the risk of accessories falling/moving under the hook.
• Minimizes damage to the lifting cable.

Minimizes the possibility of damage to cargo:

• Example: Coil implement lowering excessively.

Tandem Hoists

Functionality:

• Electronic monitoring of two hoists on the same crane.
• Communication between hoists via BUS cable.
• Sum of loads and total maximum load limitation.

Options:

• Anti collision between hoists.
• LED charging display, with full and partial charge.
• Exact synchronization in lifting 2 to 4 hoists on the same crane.

Step by step (Inching)

Functionality

It allows a very exact positioning mode.

• Available for lifting, trolley translation and crane..
• You can predefine the step by step mode in advances from 2 to 100 mm: Each movement can have its own measurement.
• When the “Inching” mode is activated, the crane advances a single step with each joystick press or movement
• Activated by the On/Off selector on the keypad or radio remote control.

Benefits:

• It is easier and faster to position the load.
• It provides very precise, more efficient control and reduces the risk of collisions.

Restricted load

Functionality

Load restrictions can be enabled for trolley and/or crane movements. The restriction areas can be on one side, or on both sides.

It is common for the limitation of areas at the end of the warehouse to be carried out with magnetic detectors.

Novamaster equipped hoist is required.

Anti-sway

Functionality:

Anti-sway takes control of the load during acceleration and deceleration, stopping the load without sway and at the exact point.

Benefits:

• Increased productivity:
  • Higher speeds and accelerations can be used and times can be reduced.
  • Faster positioning, since the load does not swing when the crane stops..
• Increased security:
  • The crane operator can focus on safety, while the crane controls the sway itself.
  • Reduces the risk of collision.
  • Reduces the training time required for the operator to reach an expert level.
  • Precise and safer positioning.

Floating charge

Functionality:

• Keeps the load suspended at zero speed for a predefined time when the load stops.
• The motor supplies the torque necessary to keep the load in suspension without the brake acting.
• Transition from going up to going down much faster.
• The new start is much smoother since the brake does not have to be opened.
• The ‘float’ time can be predefined: standard between 3 and 5 seconds.
• Function available in lifting and trolley translation.

Anti-impact control

Functionality:

• This function ensures smooth lifting when picking up the load.
• By monitoring the lifting motor, when a sudden increase in load is detected (when the slings or chains begin to tighten) the hoist automatically reduces speed until the load has been fully lifted.
• Shocks from a sudden increase in load are eliminated.

Synchronization

Functionality:

• Function for hoists on the same crane.
• When two hoists lift a load simultaneously, it is controlled that both hooks lift at exactly the same speed.
• It even works for different loads on each hoist.
• The function is always active when the operator selects ‘SYNCRO’ operation.

Benefits:

• The ‘Syncro’ function keeps the height difference between hooks always the same.
• Avoid tilting the load during lifting and lowering.
• Increases safety and productivity.

Tandem cranes

The interconnection of tandem cranes includes:

• Radio control–system with: 2 x transmitters + 2 x receivers
• Transmitters and receivers with external antenna.
• Interconnected with the crane box and hoists
